Half Day Photography £250.00 (Approx. 3 hours on location then £75 per hour)

Product Photography and / or Photoshop Training

Photography

Ideally there is no substitute for employing the services of a professional photographer. A good photographer will have the skill set, experience and the correct kit to produce a high quality product shots every time. Sometimes though it's not always practical, or cost effective, to employ a professional photographer every time you need a quick staff portrait or product photograph.

For this reason we understand that occasionally you might like to take your own photographs but would appreciate a bit of extra training or advice. This photography training service is a skill which could literally save save you hours of time and thousands of £££s in professional fees over the years. It's well worth considering if you are likely to take a lot of product photography or staff portraits in the future. You will need a proper Digital SLR camera, a flashgun and preferably a tripod. We will advise you on any special equipment when you book.

We can offer training at our location in Smeeton Westerby, where we will show you how to set up a simple home studio, or on location at your premises. In both cases we will show how to get the very best results out of your camera equipment and available lighting. We will also provide you with a lighting and set up diagram plus a list of any specialist kit you will need.

Photoshop

A very big part of any product photography is Photoshop post production. This often involves background clean-up or cut-outs, resizing plus exposure and colour correction. If you have never used Photoshop before it may be better to attend the photography course first followed by the Photoshop course over two consecutive days. If you are a competent computer user we can recommend the combined Photography & Photoshop Workshops over a single extended day. It's better for you to bring your own laptop with a copy of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements but we can provide one if required.

How it works

Let's be honest. I'm not going to turn you into an award winning professional photographer in a day. But if I set everything up for you, show you the correct lighting and camera settings then all you need to do is press the button. Following this technique you should be able to produce a good quality image time and time again. This ensures your marketing materials will look more professional and should attract more clients.

We can come to your premises and show you how to take photographs of your staff or products using your own camera kit and lighting. We will advise you if any additional equipment is required and prepare a list of camera kit and low cost suppliers. In addition we will provide you with a lighting and technique diagram so you can repeat the set-up whenever you need it. Up to 3 employees can attend these one day sessions.
